The first meal we had arriving to the St John's area and so far is still the best chowder! Really friendly and welcoming staff.

Worst fish and chips I ever eat. The only thing this place has going for it is the view of bell island, which is probably the only reason the place stays open. Bagged french fries, canned gravy, a staff that lies about the freshness of the overpriced food and the attitude of the front counter staff made my visit the first and the last. Do yourself a favor, if you want good HOMEMADE food go to "By the Beach" and avoid this greasy spoon.

Excellent fish & chips or sub chips with salad, soup or onion rings. Friendly staff. New owners mid Sep, 2017. Next to Belle ferry-across road.

Fish & chips order 1 or 2 or 3 piece fish-each piece lightly battered weighing 4 ounces.

Having sampled fish and chips all over Newfoundland we found this is definitely among the best if not the best. Quick personable service added to our enjoyment of the meal.

It's a small diner, with fantastic service and great food. We really enjoyed our visit!
